Steeps Tea House

Tim hortons
Iron Horse
Jolly Good!
When I walked in I was greeted with live music and the smell of cooking food and hard wood floors that creaked when I walked. It felt like I was walking into another time period and I loved it. I ordered a large soup and some drinks, and the service was lively and entertaining. The Pub itself was covered in all sorts of Sherlock Holmes memorabilia including the recent movie’s new poster hanging proudly above the stage.
If you’re looking for a lovely little place with high energy to sit and enjoy the company of friends there is no better place you can sniff out with that detective nose of yours!

Boston Pizza

I was Bouston Pizza not to long ago for a friends birthday party. The atmosphere was homey and the service was good! a couple of us had the bandera bread as an appitizer, bandera bread is one of my favorite things to eat at bouston pizza, as well as the cactus cut potatoes of course! Over all bouston Pizza is one of the best places to just go and chill with friends!

Party like the Irish today!
Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! If you’re looking for a party, you have to check out The Druid. This awesome pub is located on Jasper Avenue at 11606! They will be having Irish dancers and lots of alcohol! After all, you have to party like the Irish today!
The Druid is a comfortable pub with spacey dance floors, I’ve always liked this place and go to it frequently with my friends when we’re feeling frisky for a dance night on the town. I have been here for countless Friday nights and have loved every time I’ve been there. The people are great and the music is better than most places that I’ve visited!
Not only is tonight a special event night but they have many events nearly everyday.

Eh Mambo~ Eh Italiano~
Eh Mambo~ Eh Italiano~
There is one place in Edmonton that never fails to fill my tummy and make me happy about it. Chianti Café is a Italian restaurant famous for the food, homely atmosphere and great artwork on the walls. It’s located on Whyte Avenue and is modeled after the old theater districts.
I came here recently for a birthday party and was pleasantly surprised as always by the service and food. The dishes are one hundred percent Italian and the pasta is to die for. If you’re ever in the mood for something meaty I highly recommend the Gnocchi. That is a potatoes dumpling pasta with your choice of meaty sauces, which I prefer to have mushroom and beef sauce!
While you’re there make sure to check out the wide variety of Italian soda they have too! The Lemonada is bubbly and delicious!

What did Genghis Khan eat?
When I’m hungry and want to have fun there is one place that I can always go to and eat and have a great time with friends or family. The Mongolian Grill! “What did Genghis Khan eat? Whatever he damn well wanted!”
The Mongolian Grill is located in downtown Edmonton close to Jasper Avenue and Grant MacEwan. There are locations at 10104 - 109th street and a alternative on at 3345 Calgary Trail. Easily located for lunch or dinner.
What’s unique about this place for me is the wide variety of choice and creativity that comes with your meal. You pick every single item that you want in your meal and once you have composed your stir fry it is then cooked right before your eyes by cooks on a large open stove! It’s a great show!
I love this place because of that very atmosphere. I always try to book my dinner events here simply cause I want to eat like I own the place, which is just what Genghis Khan did! And at this grill you can surely eat whatever you damn well want!

If theres an event... It is at Edmonton Event center!

The event that I enjoyed the best was when David Guetta came. The place was packed; bumping sholder to sholder. The music was terrific; if you enjoy listening to house and electro. The service, yet again, was good!
I was going to buy tickets to go see Pitbull, a reggaeton artist, but it was cancled. I was sooo dissapointed. Other then that, if someone you enjoy is going to be at the Edmonton Event Center, GO!
Flow Lounge

I went out on Saturday for a friend’s birthday. When they told me they rented out a bar, I assumed it was going to be at a curling rink. I was pleasantly surprised. Flow lounge is an intimate drinking establishment located at 11845 Wayne Gretzky Dr. It was a great place! The staff could have been the best part of Flow lounge. The manager arranged to have karaoke set up for the party because our birthday girl is a big fan. The bartenders were very friendly and made great suggestions for celebration shooters. The food was delicious as well. I ordered the nachos for a little midnight snack and ended up enlisting the help of the entire table to finish the giant plate. It was a great night and I will defiantly be returning.
Do you have money for the Bank ?

The Bank Ultra Lounge is located on 10765 Jasper Ave. It is one of my favorite spots to go. They play electro, dance and/or house music. Starlight, play me some music tonight...
Do all Unions have a Hall?
More than just fluid in this lounge

The Keg

First of all, let me say that I was weaned off the bottle on steak and potatoes. That being said, there are few “steak experiences” that I would actually feel compelled to blog about. Luckily for The Keg, I have no problem raving about my dinning experience last Friday. As soon as I walked in, I was excited to be there. The décor feels like you’re staying at an aunt’s fancy wood cabin where she asks you not to touch the chandelier; it was classy without being too stuffy. The service and food were amazing. I ordered the steak oscar; a sirloin topped with shrimp, scallops, asparagus and béarnaise sauce. It has completely ruined any enjoyment I may have had from my frozen farm steak. Overall, it was a great “steak experience” that I would defiantly recommend to others.

Vi’s for Pies
Last weekend I went to a really nice little café called Vi’s for Pies. It’s located at 13408 Stony Plain Road! This little restaurant is great for late night endeavors for those with a sweet tooth or just hunting for a nice hot cup of java. I was having one of those rather annoying nights where friends became enemies and I was itching for something to sooth me. My best friend requested we go for some key lime pie and a coffee, even if it was almost midnight. So, we headed out.
When we got there I was pleasantly surprised that it was comfortable homey. It had nice lighting that was low enough to give it a jazzy feel. Light music played overhead and the smell of sweets was in the air. We ordered out pies and sat near the window. The service was nice and friendly; it was comforting to see smiling faces.
The pie piece I got was huge, much larger than I expected! So you definitely get your money’s worth. I couldn’t even finish the portion I had but it was delicious nonetheless.
So if you’re looking for a late night coffee shop and a hot chocolate this is definitely the place for you.
